Black Gold Quilt Patch Guild & Friends Present:
QuiltFest 2024 featuring Tara Evans of Taralee Quiltery
ABOUT TARA EVANS
I enjoy every step of the process; from designing to long arm quilting. Wrapping my head around things and figuring out how to make them has fueled my creative process since the beginning.
Painting was my original outlet, I studied Fine Art at Brigham Young University. Soon after I had my children, I started sewing for them. In 2018 I designed and made my first quilt pattern and I was hooked! Taralee Quiltery is a way for me to share my art with the world and give others access to my creative process by purchasing my patterns to make their own art.
My patterns are sold on an individual level, printed and pdf, as well as on a wholesale scale. I also carry curated bundles and kits in my shop. Come wintertime, you'll find me snow dyeing fabrics which sell out quite fast!
I'd say my style is striking and dramatic, often with a rainbow element and/or a zap of black and white. The title I give myself is a Radical Quilter, I like challenging myself both in my artistic life and in my personal life; pushing, questioning, and hopefully creating something beautiful and meaningful.
